Mean In Green

Green season - collage 4aabb
Early last year was the start of my obsession with green, particularly the shades army, olive and forest green. The moment I laid eyes on that patched army green coat at Bershka, there was an instant spark and the next thing I knew, it was a dominant color in my wardrobe. I started to think, is this going too far? What’s next? Green lips? And then green armpits? Lol. Not too far though. My only concern was if having too much of one color could consequently ruin the art of mixing and matching clothes. Looking like the Grinch wasn’t part of the plan. So, I tried to reassess my clothes thinking of a way to balance things out. As the fashion bible says, when putting together a failproof outfit, balance is key! Not only is this applicable in pairing colors but cuts and patterns too! So here I am, trying to keep it in line with basic rules…

Use the magic of neutral colors
Neutrals never seem to disappoint. Look at how the army green perfectly contrasts the neutrals.
